We are actively seeking applications from passionate and proven Civil Engineers and experienced civil designers to join a new and thriving Civil Engineering team.

With an established presence across three states, and over 100 employees, Ratio are at an exciting and important phase in their journey.

The role

This process looks to secure a Civil Design Engineer, with strong skills in Civil 3D, who has a proven and lengthy track record in feasibility, concept and detailed design within a similar consulting environment.

As the new team member, you will be required to:

  • Design civil components across new communities, municipal and significant infrastructure projects. Including, drainage, earthworks, roads, roundabouts, streetscapes and urban infrastructure elements.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate and support the senior civil engineer and design managers to develop sustainable civil solutions and achieve project and client objectives.
  • Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Prepare schedules and quantity take off.
  • Engage with stakeholders including government bodies, public and private sector clients, ensuring projects are delivered to specifications and exceed expectations.
  • Contribute to civil engineering projects, provide registered engineer certification and ensure compliance with local and national engineering standards and building codes.

About you

As a Civil Design Engineer, you will possess the following

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 3 years minimum of professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on built environment, development and infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in Civil3D & AutoCAD MUSIC and DRAINS.
  • An interest in evolving and improving your project management and client relationship skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working towards or possessing RPEV, NER and relevant professional accreditations.
  • A passion for people and innovation
