We are actively seeking applications from passionate and proven Civil Design Manager to join a new and thriving Civil Engineering team.
The organisation
Ratio is an independent voice and a trusted partner in planning, urban design, transport, waste management, landscape architecture and civil engineering.
With an established presence across three states, and over 100 employees, Ratio are at an exciting and important phase in their journey.
The role
This process looks to secure an experienced Design Manager who has a proven and lengthy track record within a similar consulting environment, leading fast paced, multidisciplinary and complex packages of work.
As the new team member, you will be required to:
- Lead and coordinate all civil design components across new communities, municipal and significant infrastructure projects. Including, drainage, earthworks, roads, roundabouts, streetscapes and urban infrastructure elements.
- Maintain key client relationships in collaboration with the directors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Support the organisations leadership group in highlighting opportunity and executing critical work packages in an innovative and sustainable manner.
- Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Engage with stakeholders including government bodies, public and private sector clients, ensuring projects are delivered to specifications and exceed expectations.
- Ensure compliance with local and national engineering standards and building codes.
- Drive forward the civil design groups technical capability
- Build the civil engineering team brand, in collaboration with the directors.
About you
As a Civil Design Manager, you will possess the following
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or similar), with a masters or MBA being advantageous.
- 10 years minimum of professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on built environment, development and infrastructure projects at a Design Management or Project leader level.
- Working knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD, Music and DRAINS software's.
- Lengthy experience in coordinating and leading multiple work packages simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for people and innovation.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects is highly advantageous.
