Out of School Hours Care Director (Level 6.1)

We invite applications for the role of Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Director. This is a permanent part-time position with a structured schedule, offering a rewarding opportunity to lead the delivery of exceptional care and education services to our children and families.

About the Role

As the OSHC Director at Elizabeth Grove Primary School, you will:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our OSHC program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 4–12 years.
  • Work a range of before school care: 6:30 am – 8:30 am, and after school care: 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm shifts and conduct administrative duties during allocated hours.
  • Be responsible for staff leadership, operational excellence, and compliance with National Quality Framework (NQF) standards.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

We're seeking an energetic leader and team player who demonstrates:

  • Leadership and management expertise: Strong operational, financial, and staff management skills.
  • Child-focused communication: The ability to connect positively with children, families, and staff members.
  • Strong inclusive practices
  • Knowledge of regulations: A sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), My Time Our Place (MTOP), and the Child Care Subsidy System (CCMS).
  • Award familiarity: An understanding of the Children's Services Award.

Essential Qualifications

To be eligible, candidates must hold:

  • Diploma or Degree qualification: Approved by ACECQA.
  • Approved First Aid certification: Including Asthma and Anaphylaxis management.
  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect training: Current certification.
  • Criminal History Screening: A valid clearance.
