The Opportunity:

We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic OSHC Assistants to join our team in a permanent, part-time capacity (20 hours per week). The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting the OSHC Director in delivering a high-quality, engaging, and safe program for children. This role requires a commitment to creating an inclusive and well-supervised environment that promotes service excellence and ensures children are engaged and happy.

The role:

  • Available to work regular shifts on a casual basis and flexible to work more hours across school holidays
  • Immediate or negotiated start date
  • Ensuring the safety of children
  • Supporting the implementation and participation of children in programmed and spontaneous activities
  • Assisting in creating a calm, positive, organised, stimulating, and safe learning environment
  • Communicating with parents/caregiver in ways which build trusting relationships
  • Assisting in managing the service routines in an efficient manner
  • Working collaboratively with other staff to promote the College's values
  • An ability to establish rapport and build strong relationship
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and record management skills
  • Flexibility and an ability to adapt and operate effectively in a changing environment

What we need:

  • A current South Australian Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certificate
  • Completed qualifications to work in a child related industry as recognised by ACECQA
  • Current ACECQA approved First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Current ACECQA approved anaphylaxis management certificate
  • Current ACECQA approved asthma management certificate

All certificates and qualification(s) must be provided to the College prior to commencement of employment; and the College requires the applicant to disclose any information relevant to their eligibility to engage in activities involving children and young people.
