We're on the hunt for a dynamic and forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to join our team. The role will be based at our office in South Melbourne and reports to our Group General Manager for People & Performance.

We are happy to consider applications from candidates looking for part-time (ideally Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day) or full-time work.

About the role

As a Human Resources Manager and as part of the HR Leadership team, you'll play a key role in partnering with senior leaders across functions to deliver on business priorities and develop & deliver HR programs focussed on workforce planning, performance and talent management, organisational change, cultural, and leadership development. This is a true generalist role that requires a blend of strategic and operational skills coupled with a passion for people and a deep understanding of the connection between people and performance.

Some of the key areas you will be responsible for include:

  • HR Strategy & Business Performance: As a trusted advisor you will collaborate with our business leaders to drive people capabilities, provide outstanding people management counsel, and oversee the execution of all HR processes.
  • Change Management: You will lead and support organisational changes with a keen understanding of their impact on people. Your expertise will guide us through major programs of work to secure adoption and embedding of new ways of working.
  • Leadership Development: You will work with the GM of People & Performance and Head of Talent and OD to lead the talent and succession planning cycle, refine our capability needs, provide coaching for high-performance behaviours, and support the growth of our senior leaders.
  • Engagement & Culture: You'll drive the evolution of our company culture with strategic initiatives and action plans to boost engagement, as well as helping to embed our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) strategy.
  • Systems & Processes: You will lead the charge in improving our People & Performance systems and processes, ensuring they align with our broader corporate goals. You will also manage key projects and the annual Performance & Remuneration review process for your business areas.

About you

This is a busy, high-profile role and as such our ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience within a similar role and industry, including:

  • Commercially astute: balance people, business, customer and shareholder priorities to inform considered decision making and provides good guidance with consideration to internal and external factors.

  • Team Contributor: embrace our agile ways of working by contributing cross functionally to accelerate the delivery of strategic group initiatives.
  • Manage competing expectations: effectively prioritise and set clear expectations balancing operational tasks with strategic deliverables.
  • Experience: proven track record of results, preferably in an industrial environment as a HR generalist with strengths in employee and industrial relations, talent attraction and development, culture and engagement and systems and reporting.
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Commerce, Psychology, or a related discipline are preferred.
