Shingle Inn The Pines is looking for a passionate and experienced Café Supervisor to lead our dedicated team.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth workflow, outstanding customer service, and consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverages. We're seeking someone with strong leadership skills to guide and support our team of baristas, cashiers, and kitchen staff, while fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

• Manage daily café operations to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.
• Uphold excellence in coffee quality, food presentation, and customer experience.
• Supervise opening and closing routines, including cash management and daily reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage stock control, and liaise with suppliers for timely ordering.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.

Team Leadership & Training:

• Inspire, guide, and support a team of baristas, cashiers, and floor staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Deliver hands-on training and continuous development to enhance team capabilities and performance.
• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team culture that promotes excellence and mutual support.
• Oversee staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and operational efficiency.

Customer Service & Experience:

• Provide exceptional customer service, creating a warm and inviting environment for every guest.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.
• Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by implementing strategies that enhance the overall guest experience.

Who are you?

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a café or hospitality setting.
• Proficient in barista techniques with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash reconciliation, and inventory control.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
