Project/Program Manager (HR Implementation)

Sydney CBD | Hybrid (2 days in office)

$900 – $1100 per day + super | Contract to 31 May 2026

Join a high-performing government program team delivering critical implementation activities across a major organisational initiative. This role suits an experienced Project or Program Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment, can balance multiple priorities, and is confident working with senior stakeholders in a complex, matrix-style setting.

The Opportunity

You'll lead and coordinate implementation activities that support business and people outcomes. Reporting to the Program Lead, you'll partner closely with People & Culture, Change, and business leaders to ensure smooth delivery and alignment across divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, track, and manage implementation activities to meet agreed outcomes.
  • Collaborate with People Directors and other stakeholders to establish frameworks and governance.
  • Identify risks and issues, support mitigation plans, and provide regular status reporting.
  • Coordinate meetings, follow up on actions, and maintain program documentation and templates.
  • Facilitate communication across multiple teams to ensure consistency and accountability.

About You

  • 5+ years' experience managing multiple concurrent projects in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and coordinate matrixed teams.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong planning and stakeholder management skills with attention to detail.
  • Prior government experience highly regarded.
