About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Bellevue Design and Construction as a Junior Custom Home Drafting Designer. In this full-time, office-based role in Brisbane, QLD, you will be responsible for creating custom home designs and drafting plans that bring our clients' visions to life.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences

  • Develop conceptual designs and sketches based on client briefs

  • Produce detailed architectural drawings and plans using Revit software

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and regulations

  • Work closely with the construction team to refine plans and provide technical support

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest architectural trends and building technologies

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural or Drafting related field

  • Proven experience in residential home design and drafting, ideally 1+ years

  • Excellent technical skills in using CAD software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp

  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations and planning requirements

  • Ability to translate client briefs into visually appealing and functional designs

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and the construction team

  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
