  • Monitor performance vs. budget, providing regular variance analysis and actionable insights.

Financial Management

  • Manage trade spend costs within budget guidelines.
  • Negotiate and optimize trading terms to maximize business results.

Sales & Marketing Strategy

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver category management best practice, consumer insights, and promotional programs.
  • Develop joint business plans with customers to meet shared objectives.
  • Ensure competitor activities and customer initiatives are communicated and acted upon.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and nurture relationships across internal teams and with key customer contacts.
  • Identify and drive business improvement opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

To help you hit the ground running, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing Metcash and Independent Grocery accounts (highly desirable).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and unlock growth opportunities at a state level.
  • Skilled in negotiation and influencing, with confidence engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset and passion for driving results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including commercial modelling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills to effectively balance competing demands.
  • Solid forecasting and demand planning experience.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the business.
