WHAT TO EXPECT
This position will see the successful candidate leading transformation across our Network. They will oversee our 'business as usual' Network performance and engagement systems while also leading the roll out of new CI across Australia, and all the complexities that come with that. Reporting to the MBO Director, this role will need to connect across the business to ensure we are providing a cohesive experience for our Retailers with a harmonised approach.
THE ROLE
Network Planning and Facility Development
- Drive development and implementation of JLR's Strategic Network plan in Australia to deliver the organisation's future business plan aspirations and retail capacity demands including consideration of alternative retail formats such as City Boutique, pop up stores, etc.
- Manage local implementation and input into JLR retail network planning to determine franchise investment, retail facility size, retail capacity and key staffing.
- Initiate and oversee PMA reviews across various regions, including mapping of car parc data and competitive analysis to develop future retail network strategy positioning for JLRA. Ensure we achieve a right partner / right location outcome across the market.
- Implement JLR Modern Luxury Retail corporate identity (CI) standards through design gateways and provide guidance / support to retailers on facility design and build. Track, measure, monitor and report on retailer facility development projects to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ongoing management of physical environments at JLR retail stores to comply with Modern Luxury standards for all brands with regards to point of sale, client experience and in-store technology.
- Manage the process of franchise selection and appointments. Implement a strategy of continual improvement in selection and appointment criteria/tools e.g. development of investor pack.
- Develop a model to capture competitor intelligence for benchmarking / trend analysis for JLRA to assist in retail network planning within the Australian market.
Retail Excellence and Performance Management
- Administer & deploy JLR's Retailer standards program across the network with RPMs and RCMSs for engagement, progress, and delivery of intended results by utilising programs like variable margin, Retailer of the Year (ROTY) & other initiatives to improve network performance. Manage the annual audit process for the standards program.
- Ensure business management (global composite platform) reports and planning outputs from the retailer network meet requirements for both local market and JLR HQ (UK) usage across functions such as Customer Service, Sales, APO, Fleet and Business, and Financial Services.
- Development and implementation of programs with targeted actions that improve retailer profitability. Use of financial modelling related tools, and capacity planning to determine retailer viability and ensuring the JLR network is adequately resourced to deliver upon sales volume and customer experience objectives.
- Knowledge sharing of best practice measures taken across the retailer network and other premium automotive retailers with the local teams and JLR HQ (UK).
- Act as principal coordinator of financial loss-making retailers through clear communication, problem identification and tracking of results for internal reference.
- Work with external professional services to provide expert support to the retailer network (e.g. Retailer Excellence Forum (REF) group meetings, lost lead management, etc.).
- Holistic management of the ROTY program (design, implementation, and constant evolution).
- Holistic management of retailer margin program including variable retailer margin (Business Builder).
- Lead quarterly retailer performance review meetings with sales and service field teams to identify causal effects and coordinate reform of the most acute underperforming retailers.
- Manage retailer systems access to various JLR systems e.g. Global Retailer Portal (GRP) via the single sign-on (SSO) protocol.
- Champion the Customer Voice program in market and ensure net promoter score (NPS) is being maximised across all survey types, in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders.

Personal Profile
- 3 years relevant experience, especially in facility development
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a business-related field, ideally accounting
- Experience with the Franchise Code of Australia and Australian Consumer Law is highly desirable
- Proven track record of delivering projects successfully
- Demonstrable understanding or experience in automotive retail KPIs
- Clear communication, both written and verbal and can adapt their style
- Strong numeracy/analytical capability
- Networking/relationship building skills, able to build rapport quickly
- Perseverance and agility in the face of challenges with strong problem-solving skills
