Position Summary 

The Project Scheduler supports planning and scheduling for Development and Pre-FID phase projects across the SQE portfolio. Reporting to the Project Services and Controls Manager, this role develops and maintains schedule models aligned with established standards and governance frameworks.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams, and a solid grasp of scheduling logic, critical path analysis, and risk-informed planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, incorporating scope, milestones, dependencies, and assumptions.
  • Use approved tools and templates to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and WBS structures.
  • Create and maintain Basis of Schedule (BoS) documents and support planning workshops.
  • Establish and manage schedule baselines, ensuring version control and traceability.
  • Identify and maintain critical paths, float, constraints, and risk inputs.
  • Perform monthly schedule updates and generate reports, dashboards, and lookaheads.
  • Support investment decisions with schedule communication artefacts.
  • Conduct schedule quality reviews and health checks.
  • Ensure alignment of schedule data with cost and risk frameworks.
  • Support schedule risk analysis and maintain accurate planning inputs.
  • Assist in developing preliminary Delivery phase schedules for tenders and evaluations.
  • Review contractor schedules and document key risks and assumptions.
  • Perform other scheduling tasks as directed.

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years in project planning/scheduling, with proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential), Oracle Primavera Cloud (highly desired), and MS Project.
  • Experience in owner-side planning, contractor schedule reviews, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Strong understanding of critical path, float, and schedule constructability.
  • Familiarity with schedule risk analysis, cost control, and integrated project controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Tilos (desirable).

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, project management, or similar.
  • White Card and current driver's licence.
