Mechanical Engineer

Omega Industries one of the fastest growing Australian Companies operating in the field of paint manufacturing and infrastructure projects . We are currently hiring Process Engineers for Australian and SEA plants.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Process Engineer will play a key role in supporting operations to optimise plant performance, embed best practice, and deliver engineering solutions. This is a hands-on role working closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, improve energy efficiency, enhance plant reliability, and contribute to capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture through active engagement in programs and initiatives.
· Support operations in problem-solving, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing corrective actions.
· Design, implement and challenge best practice processes and systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
· Perform risk assessments in compliance with company and industry standards.
· Facilitate and perform maintenance analysis to drive reliability improvements.
· Lead continuous improvement and plant optimisation projects.
· Assist in the preparation of business cases and justifications for capital initiatives.
· Manage plant control of change systems.
What You Will Bring
· Degree in mechanical engineering
· Strong knowledge of engineering principles with the ability to apply them in a practical, operational setting.
· Proven problem-solving ability and analytical mindset, including use of statistical process control techniques.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
· A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to continuous learning.
· Ability to drive initiatives and manage small to medium-sized projects to completion.
· Experience in operations, maintenance, or process improvement (desirable).
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
