About the role:
The Manager Business and Financial Analysis will be the Portfolio's key financial analyst - providing strategic financial management, advice and support to the management team, developing growth projects across the Portfolio to support the development of future budget, workforce planning and business process improvement. In this position you will also work closely with the management team in Education and Social Participation to support reporting and will be responsible for risk management across the Portfolio.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Business, Finance or similar field; AND
- Minimum of five years' experience in business analysis and financial management
- Demonstrated analytical skills, with ability to analyse processes clearly and identify criteria for success
- Exceptional financial management skills and business mindset including the ability to understand and communicate the meaning behind financial results and the potential impact of outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent writing skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to identify and implement effective improvements
- Strong process monitoring skills, including the ability to highlight and provide advice on opportunities and threats
- Demonstrated success in driving and managing change, motivating staff through the change process, and delivering consistent process improvements and planned outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to plan and develop innovative approaches to working with key stakeholders that are focused on meeting the needs of a diverse client group
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual and organisational skills including the ability to proactively identify potential opportunities and great attention to detail
- Knowledge of OH&S principles and practice and a good working knowledge of Quality Management principles and systems
- Knowledge of EEO principles and practice
