Mt Cotton Quarry,a part of Barro Group –  is seeking to engage a Quarry Weighbridge Operator.

Excellent base wage + overtime and leave accruals.

We are looking for a hands on person who likes customer service and office work but has most probably had a previous background in the trucking, quarrying or transport industries as either a driver, operator or administrator.

The key responsibilities:

  • Operate computer-based weighbridge system - taking accurate customer phone orders and effecting delivery of products
  • Schedule truck loads
  • Carry out some quarry safety inductions for contractors, truck drivers and visitors
  • Undertake day-to-day administration activities
  • Multi task and at times work under pressure to meet customer requirements
  • Answer phone calls and provide customer support
  • Work as part of a very small office team
  • Work flexible hours including regular Saturday mornings
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Follow company systems including working safely
