An experienced Quarry Manager required to oversee the safe, efficient, and productive operation of a quarry site within a highly respected organisation. This leadership role offers the chance to drive operational excellence while maintaining the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all site operations meet or exceed health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Lead and develop a team of employees and contractors, fostering a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement
  • Manage extraction and processing operations to meet current and future market demand
  • Deliver high product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with legislative standards
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with chain of responsibility requirements
  • Control budgets and expenditure, prepare performance reports, and recommend capital spend
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including union representatives, contractors, and the wider community
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to support business growth

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in mining, civil, geology, or similar
  • State-specific quarry manager licence
  • SSE Ticket essential
  • A background in aggregates or industrial mining
  • Proven leadership experience within quarrying, mining, or related heavy industry operations
  • Strong understanding of OHS legislation and best practice in safety and environmental management
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, operational performance, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and people management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams
