Quarry Manager – Lead Operations & Drive Performance
We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to provide operational and financial leadership of our Castlereagh Quarry located in Cloncurry Northwest. This is a pivotal role, ensuring compliance, quality, safety, and productivity while delivering on customer requirements.
About the Role
As Quarry Manager, you will oversee all aspects of quarry operations – from production and quality assurance to safety leadership, equipment management, and financial performance. You will provide strong leadership, guiding your team to deliver on key outcomes while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop employees to achieve operational targets.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements.
- Drive productivity, quality assurance, and safe work practices.
- Manage equipment, resources, and production scheduling.
- Deliver accurate reporting on production, safety, and compliance.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to specification and customer expectations.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' mining or quarrying experience.
- Strong knowledge of quarry operations, crushing, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Mining Supervisor S1,2 & 3.
- RIIRIS601D – Risk management system qualification.
- SSE (Site Senior Executive) Practicing Certificate – desirable, but not essential.
- Additional equipment/operator tickets advantageous.
