About the role

Join RGM Maintenance Pty Ltd in Townsville, Queensland, as a Workshop Leading Hand As we expand into a new, larger, purpose-built workshop, we're seeking an experienced leader to oversee a dedicated section of our new facility.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of a workshop team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support
  • Conducting quality checks on all completed work to ensure it meets our high standards
  • Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out in the workshop
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency
  • Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their skills and expertise
  • Ensuring the workshop adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  • Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of mechanics and technicians
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles
  • Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment and software
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
