About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our Workshop & Field Service team in permanent ongoing roles. This is a hands-on position involving both workshop-based maintenance and field service support across regional sites.

You'll be part of a high-performing team responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of mobile plant equipment, ensuring operational reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment (loaders, excavators, haul trucks, etc.)
  • Field service support for breakdowns and urgent maintenance across multiple sites
  • Participation in an on-call roster and flexible hours (50+ hours/week)
  • Accurate service record keeping and contribution to reliability improvements
  • Collaboration with site teams to ensure equipment availability and operational continuity

Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
  • Experience in both workshop and field service environments
  • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • HR licence, forklift ticket, and experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, or Volvo equipment (highly regarded)
