Role Summary:

The Training & Development Manager at Omoda Jaecoo is pivotal to improving the effectiveness of customer facing productive staff including Sales Managers and Consultants through implementation of a structured learning program. A key success factor is the management of both internal and external resources to define a blend of online and F2F sale process and product-based training activity. It will be important to create a learning culture throughout the expanding Omoda Jaecoo dealer network in support of the ongoing growth of 50+ Sales Managers and 100+ Sales Consultants nationally.

The establishment and subsequent development of an expanding dealer network requires strategic support. Focused on ensuring sustainable growth, the role partners closely with internal teams to implement Omoda Jaecoo retail operational standards, optimising business process and driving key performance metrics. The Training & Development Manager provides hands-on guidance in areas such as sales process, new product launches and customer experience, ensuring dealers are best equipped to meet commercial goals and fostering a strong brand reputation. The role demands strategic thinking, effective relationship building and an in-depth knowledge of retail channel operations in support of successful integration and growth of the Omoda Jaecoo dealer network across Australia.

Role Responsibilities:

· Establish objectives to improve quality of the customer experience through focus on lead management, inquiry conversion and effective sale process.

· Develop supporting plans in consultation with management and regional staff from network surveying to ascertain competency through assessment and allow a baseline target to be set.

· Gather information to produce needs analysis for profiling of the network to establish programs covering introductory, intermediate & advanced knowledge and experience levels.

· Design and compile both product and process training content for delivery based on network research findings utilising brand centric presentation and messaging.

· Consider target audience, communication channel, staging and tier levels in content development including quiz checks to measure the extent to which learning has occurred.

· Prioritise Sales Manager learning program roll-out to ensure preferred behaviour is reinforced with retail leaders in advance of Sales Consultant training to optiimise course effectiveness.

· Ensuring constructive feedback is received from course participants upon training completion and engaging in regular internal consultation to evolve syllabus content.

· Leverage the Summit Club Rewards Program to ensure a collegiate-style culture of excellence pervades across the network and instil healthy competition to inspire maximum commitment.

· Contribute as a key stakeholder to new product launch events including offsite classroom seminars, hands-on driving, competitor comparison, all aided by online reference content.

· Maintain accurate database records of all network staff with the assistance of the Network Coordinator and ensure training policies are consistently upheld.

· Control the Training & Development budget, proposing an annual learning schedule plan for execution of a blended learning program within financial parameters set.

Role Tasks & Accountabilities:

· Develop a clear understanding of dealership productive staff through regular surveying to shape future learning from insights identified.

· Utilise services of external providers to execute 'road to a sale' and '6-position' sale process training relevant to cadets, consultants and experienced high performers to grow all abilities.

· Schedule a course agenda at the commencement of each new year to ensure ample notice for participants and leverage regional staff for support in the recruitment of attendees.

· Proactive database management to target relevant dealership staff for specific courses in support of their progression through a staged learning and development career plan.

· Acknowledgement and recognition are to be central themes that act as staff retention measures through encouragement and reward.

· Utilise internal Product, Technical and Marketing Specialists for the Training and Development Manager to act as principal author of product-based training content for subsequent delivery.

To be successful:

The role demands a driven individual with a passion for the automotive industry who will strive to achieve results while developing a disciplined & structured process for dealer engagement.

· 5+ years experience in a similar OEM Automotive role

· Bachelor's degree in a commercial discipline, marketing, HR or related field

· Outstanding communication skills and problem-solving ability

· Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

· Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, etc

· An empathetic approach and results-oriented with a desire for career growth
