Due to exciting growth at Linktech Australia we are looking for a motivated and customer focused Support Engineer to join our team in a busy and vibrant workplace providing support.

The successful applicant will have vibrant and energetic personality with excellent customer service and communication skills to assist in providing onsite and remote support to our customers.

  • Providing clients with appropriate timely advice, product and service information within SLAs.
  • Troubleshooting and translating technical language into simple terms for customers
  • Installing and repairing various computer hardware and software, providing basic training and guidance to customers over the phone
  • Tracking and routing problems, requests and documenting resolutions
  • Identifying and escalating situations requiring urgent attention
  • Managing customer enquiries / complaints professionally
  • In some instances - responsible for clients' entire networks and systems – both onsite and online.
  • Provide technical support across a diverse range of technologies, from end user support to complex server and network problems.
  • Use of ticketing system, knowledge base and maintaining documentation

About you…

You will have experience in and a demonstrable knowledge of the following:

  • Min 2+ years experience providing systems and end user-support, ideally in a Helpdesk environment.
  • Ability to manage and support Microsoft environments.
  • Well developed Active Directory and Group Policy skills.
  • Strong experience with AVD, Citrix and Terminal Servers.
  • Experience in O365 admin, with hands-on migrations highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in a level 2 IT support role
  • Advanced experience with MS Office 365, Microsoft desktop operating systems, desktop hardware, Azure
  • Intermediate experience with the following:

LAN, WAN, internet, VPN, wireless and related network technologies

  • Prior knowledge of the following would be highly desirable

POS systems and the retail industry highly desirable

Mac software including MAC OS-X, Office for Mac and Mac hardware

  • Experience troubleshooting routers, switches, cabling, desktops, printers and other hardware
  • Experience working with multiple clients
  • Timesheets and Ticketing systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Well spoken, strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to liaise effectively with client representatives at all levels.

Our ideal candidate would also have..

  • Previous Managed Services experience in SME sector
  • Industry certifications including Micrsoft certifications.
  • ITIL awareness and understanding.
  • Excellent client focus with a commitment to high quality customer service and service delivery.
