At RA Tas, we are expanding our team of dedicated Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) and we would love to hear from you if you are a qualified and registered FDRP.

We are also committed to nurturing good talent, and applications are welcome from suitable applicants where workplace training could be provided to support you in achieving your FDRP qualification and registration with the Attorney General's office.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide Family Dispute Resolution services to couples and families who are separating or separated in order to negotiate parenting and/or property arrangements, as well as assisting families to focus on the best interests of children and young people throughout any ongoing family conflict.

Do you fit the bill?

  • A tertiary qualification and relevant experience in the areas of social sciences, psychology or law. (Further qualification in Family Dispute Resolution will be provided to the successful candidate) or Family Dispute Resolution accreditation with the Attorney General's Department
  • Experience working with families with complex needs
  • An understanding of the impacts of family separation on children
  • Highly developed negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation
