The role:
We are seeking Diploma Qualified Education and Care Practitioners to join our team. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team to deliver a quality play-based program in Long Day Care.
- Education and Care Practitioner role, Level 2B on our Enterprise Agreement
- Part time, various rosters available
- Long Day Care
SERVICE LOCATIONS:
- Bowen Road (Moonah)
- Uni South (Sandy Bay)
- Acton (Cambridge)
- Midway Point
In this role, you will:
- Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.
- Implement engaging and inclusive educational programs for children
- Interact with and supervise children to ensure their safety and wellbeing
- Create safe, supportive and positive environments for children and colleagues
- Document and reflect on children's learning and development
- Build strong and professional relationships with families and colleagues
- Commit to your own professional growth and development
- Always work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania's policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework

What you'll bring:
- An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Please note that we are not seeking ECT's for this position)
- Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated strong commitment to child safety
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, with willingness to learn and apply the Early Years Learning Framework
- A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services)
