The role:

We are seeking Diploma Qualified Education and Care Practitioners to join our team. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team to deliver a quality play-based program in Long Day Care.

  • Education and Care Practitioner role, Level 2B on our Enterprise Agreement
  • Part time, various rosters available
  • Long Day Care

SERVICE LOCATIONS:

  • Bowen Road (Moonah)
  • Uni South (Sandy Bay)
  • Acton (Cambridge)
  • Midway Point

In this role, you will:

  • Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.
  • Implement engaging and inclusive educational programs for children
  • Interact with and supervise children to ensure their safety and wellbeing
  • Create safe, supportive and positive environments for children and colleagues
  • Document and reflect on children's learning and development
  • Build strong and professional relationships with families and colleagues
  • Commit to your own professional growth and development
  • Always work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania's policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework

What you'll bring:

  • An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Please note that we are not seeking ECT's for this position)
  • Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated strong commitment to child safety
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, with willingness to learn and apply the Early Years Learning Framework
  • A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services)
