People and Culture Generalist

Permanent Full-Time | Based at Box Hill Head Office

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven People and Culture Graduate or Generalist to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their People and Culture journey who is passionate about building a great employee experience, learning People and Culture best practices, and contributing to the development and maintenance of the People and Culture foundation.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals and be exposed to a wide range of People and Culture activities from recruitment and onboarding to engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full employment lifecycle daily, including recruitment, onboarding, contract adjustments, and separations
  • Maintain and regularly update accurate employee records within the HRIS system.
  • Write and publish compelling job advertisements on platforms such as Seek and the company Intranet to attract top talent
  • Conduct thorough pre-employment VEVO and reference checks to ensure candidate eligibility and fit
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers to support candidate screening, shortlisting, and interview coordination
  • Assist in the annual remuneration review process by compiling data and facilitating communications
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain regular people reports, including headcount, turnover, and other key People and Culture data
  • Analyse Onboarding, Happiness and Exit Survey results to identify strengths, concerns, and areas for improvement and develop targeted action plans based on key insights
  • Oversee the People and Culture inbox by promptly responding to inquiries and directing correspondence to the relevant team members
  • Provide reliable and proactive general support to the People and Culture team

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in Administration, Recruitment, or People and Culture (preferable)
  • Working knowledge of HRIS, processes, and employment legislation (preferable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document formatting
