Epping Public School is located on the traditional lands of the Wallemedagal people of the Dharug nation. With enrolments of 790 students and approximately 94 percent from non-English speaking backgrounds, we are committed to cultivating a vibrant community where staff, students and parents take pride in our inclusive environment. Central to our educational approach are our comprehensive literacy and numeracy programs, delivered in modern, flexible classrooms that support explicit and differentiated teaching and learning opportunities. We enhance our students' academic achievements through robust EAL/D programs and other programs of support. In addition to our academic offerings, we provide a rich array of extracurricular activities, allowing students to explore their interests in art, debating, chess, robotics, dance, choir, public speaking, bands, strings, PSSA sports and design. Our school community is incredibly supportive, with the P&C actively working to enhance resources and create opportunities for our students. We also partner with community providers to offer after-school classes in languages such as Chinese, Hindi and Korean, as well as music tuition, further enriching our students' educational experience.

Proven ability in balancing exemplary evidence-based classroom practice and the coordination of the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal
Demonstrated experience working as part of a dynamic leadership team, strategically planning, leading and monitoring initiatives and applying evidence-based and data-informed practices to drive continuous improvement with a focus on high expectations and differentiation for all students across the full range of abilities and backgrounds.
Proven ability to lead with integrity and emotional intelligence, building collaborative teams and strong, trusting partnerships across the school and wider community.
Capacity to lead and empower our students to develop a sense of agency over their learning and wellbeing, enabling them to connect, succeed, thrive and learn.
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
