Narrabeen North Public School is seeking a passionate and experienced educational leader to join our high-performing and well-established Executive Team. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and engaging primary school setting, where student growth and performance are at the heart of all we do. Our Executive Team sets the standard for upholding the values of NSW public education at all times and is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and student-centred community.
Selection CriteriaIn addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary
- Demonstrated capacity and experience in balancing exemplary classroom practice and the coordination of the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal
- Proven ability to lead with integrity and develop strong collaborative teams characterised by high levels of collective efficacy, relational trust and psychological safety that enable students to benefit from the combined knowledge and expertise of the team
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in using evidence-based and data-informed practices to drive continuous improvement, with a focus on growth for all students
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to whole school wellbeing and behaviour management processes, drawing on a restorative approach to support staff and students to connect, succeed and thrive
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
