About the Role:

An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join a market-leading Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in the Brisbane office.

We are seeking a specialist with significant experience in banking and insolvency litigation. This role will see you advising a diverse range of clients, including major banks, financial institutions, and insolvency practitioners on complex and high-stakes disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad and challenging caseload of banking and insolvency litigation matters.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of debt recovery, security enforcement, corporate and personal insolvency, and a variety of financial disputes.
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, and submissions, and prepare for and attend mediations and court hearings.
  • Provide strategic, commercial, and pragmatic advice to clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers within the team.
  • Actively participate in business development initiatives and client relationship management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Admitted as a solicitor in Queensland, with a minimum of 5-7 years post-admission experience, specialising in litigation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in banking and insolvency law is essential.
  • Strong technical legal skills and a proven track record of managing complex disputes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
  • Experience in a large commercial law firm environment is highly desirable.
