This is a strategically positioned role for a Senior Associate role seeking to strengthen their profile across restructuring and insolvency within a respected eastern seaboard firm known for its commercial clarity and pragmatic outcomes.

The practice is led by partners who combine specialist accreditation in commercial litigation with extensive experience in restructuring, insolvency, and forensic investigation. They position themselves to provide ongoing risk reduction and strategic outcomes for clients across formal and informal insolvency scenarios, board advisory matters, and complex commercial disputes.

The team's core focus spans small to medium business restructuring and turnaround matters, typically in the $1–10 million range, together with liquidations, administrations and related debt reduction strategies.

An intersection with the firm's Construction Partner provides further variety, with exposure to disputes involving insolvency events in the building sector. Both key partners are regularly before the courts, creating a dynamic environment for lawyers who enjoy the advocacy and strategy aspects of litigation.

This is an ideal platform for a lawyer seeking both mentorship and independence — someone commercially minded with an emerging client following who values collaboration with partners known for their technical depth and grounded leadership style.

About You

  • 5–10 years' PQE in restructuring, insolvency, or commercial litigation
  • Strong understanding of formal insolvency processes and turnaround strategies
  • Experience (or interest) in advocacy, court work and strategic dispute management
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and eager to develop client relationships within a high-performing team
