About the role
Our client is seeking a proactive individual with a natural ability to build relationships with customers. They are hoping for someone with a technical background in food contact products or packaging to join their team as an Account Manager.
The Account Manager will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients. Their responsibilities span across strategic planning, relationship management, and market analysis, among others.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, whilst developing and executing strategic account plans to expand the company's market presence in sustainable packaging.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes.
- Leverage market insights to inform sales strategies and support product development.
- Proactively resolve client issues to ensure high customer satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
- Initiate and lead regular quarterly business reviews to ensure client success, identifying opportunities for process improvement by proactively addressing their pain points.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, supply chain) to meet client needs and develop new solutions.
- Support the sales team with contract renewals with key accounts, by offering advice, data and performance measures where required.
- Provide expert advice to clients on how the company's solutions can help them achieve their sustainability goals.
- Monitor and analyse account performance metrics to provide reports to management and improve account management processes.

- Proven ability to manage and expand business with existing clients.
- Experience in QSR or packaging sectors is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Skilled in conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Post-qualification experience in a relevant field.
- Proven ability to adapt and apply required skills.
