The Associate Director, Process Improvement is responsible for delivering continuous improvement projects across end-to-end customer journeys and business processes, including cross-functional business teams. The role will help to drive better performance, change and compliance outcomes through engaging across all teams and helping to scope and deliver improvements to existing processes and ways of working.

YOUR NEW ROLE

Location: Sydney

Role Type: Temporary 12 month FTC (Parental Leave Cover)

  • Work with teams across the EFA business to identify and capture gaps, missed opportunities, concerns and challenges in current ways of working.
  • Continuously monitor and assess platform performance, identifying areas for optimisation and enhancement.
  • Assist the Director, Business Solutions in managing and delivering technology change projects across a range of key areas including cross-functional process improvement, performance measurement, optimising technology, improving compliance processes and other similar initiatives that contribute to more efficient, high performing business processes.
  • Develop and deliver training and other change management activities in relation to system and improvement projects to ensure changes are successfully embedded.
  • Assist and evaluate core origination system enhancements with a risk and control mindset, ensure appropriate key controls are in place to mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate process mapping workshops and work with the relevant business areas to implement these.
  • Work closely with the business teams on documenting new policies and procedures, user guides, process improvements to deliver improved customer/team experience.
  • Establish governance, frameworks, and operating models. These include ensuring appropriate key controls are in place to mitigate risks; and developing and maintaining a control testing plan to ensure risks are effectively managed across the relevant business teams/processes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with facilitating process mapping workshops and tools including Visio.
  • 5+ years demonstrated Change Management & Process Improvement experience in driving better performance.
  • Proven experience in change management.
  • Demonstrated experience, operating as a successful change agent with the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Business or Corporate banking/finance experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, analysts, testers, to ensure that requirements are met, and improvement outcomes are achieved.
  • Ability to deliver complex change & process improvement projects, with a focus on improving efficiency and driving business growth
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk, regulatory risk and reputational risk.
  • Training qualifications in Continuous Improvement or Project Management is an advantage.
