The successful candidate will be based in Sydney but will work for our clients across the Asia Pacific region.

Overview

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Australian Account Management team.

The Account Director or Associate Director is to play a leadership role in Sandpiper Australia in achieving its strategic objectives in growing a strong domestic client base while also working on global client accounts. This role at Sandpiper Australia is an integral part of the senior leadership team who supports the strategic development of the agency in ANZ and in the region. Based in Sydney, the role provides strategic advice to clients, colleagues and ensures account teams keep clients satisfied and profitable.

The role will also support the MD, ANZ and take the lead in new business and marketing activities, organic fee growth as well as sourcing and winning new business.

At a general level, the responsibilities include the following:

1. Manage and grow existing and new client accounts
2. Manage, motivate, retain, and develop employees within the market and across the broader business.
3. Have accountability for winning new business and identifying cross-selling opportunities with existing clients across the global business and different practice areas.
4. Be a role model for Sandpiper's values and behaviours, including the company's one P&L approach.

Requirements

• A strong network, and deep industry experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills

• Creative thinker
• Entrepreneurial with strong business acumen
• Financial and/or professional services sector knowledge and experience is advantageous
• Bachelor's degree at a minimum (a plus if it is in related fields such as communications, English, journalism, politics, economics, or business)
