We are seeking an experienced
Solutions Architect
to join a large-scale ICT transformation program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile government initiative that will transition core ICT services into new supply arrangements.

This role will suit a hands-on architect who can work across multiple technology domains, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and provide leadership in solution design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, technical experts, and external stakeholders to define and implement solution architecture.
  • Provide input into service and detailed design artefacts, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and best practice standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with technical teams, project stakeholders, and partner agencies.
  • Research and analyse complex business/technical issues, presenting solution options and producing key reports.
  • Contribute to risk management, issue resolution, and solution planning to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure all work adheres to government enterprise architecture processes, standards, and governance requirements.

About You
You bring proven experience as a Solutions Architect within ICT environments, ideally with exposure to large-scale government programs. You have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions while guiding project teams through delivery.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Broad technical knowledge across domains such as:

  • Databases and Data Management

  • Desktop (Windows)
  • Infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, VMWare, SAN)
  • Mobility (Apple, Windows)
  • Software Development & Integration (.Net, Java)
  • Networking & Telecommunications
  • Information & Network Security

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with COTS solution analysis
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery and ITIL practices
  • Familiarity with PRINCE2 or similar methodologies
  • Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Awareness of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
  • Cloud and IT automation experience
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, web, or public safety systems
