As an Underwriter Assistant, you'll play a vital role supporting experienced underwriters, handling a variety of tasks from preparing quotes and documentation to liaising with brokers and ensuring smooth operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Underwriting file creation & maintenance

• Logging & clearing submissions within agreed timeframes

• Support pre-underwriting by preparing quotes and raters & premium calculators using excel tools.

• Prepare documentation for new business, renewals, endorsements & certificates of currency (in line with authorities)

• Follow up brokers on outstanding matters (closings, declaration forms, claim forms etc.)

• Any other duties which management may request.

• Assist on main phone line when requested

• Assist admin team, including processing when requested

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


• Previous insurance experience with broker or insurer an advantage

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications – Word/Excel/Outlook, PowerPoint desirable

• High level of verbal & written communication

• Attention to detail

• Good organisational & time management skills

• Ability to work autonomously & in team environment.

• Team player
