About the Team
The Procurement Team is a growing, supportive and friendly team. As a member of the Procurement Team reporting directly to one of our Procurement Managers which are focused on each module for the Boxer. With the product within arm's reach the team enjoys getting to know the product they are working on and strive to continue to be procurement professionals within their commodity every day.

About The Role
At Rheinmetall Defence Australia, our Senior Procurement Specialists are strategic sourcing experts who build and manage supplier relationships. They consistently seek the best deal without compromising risk or material quality. They are able to negotiate, award and manage contracts with a wide range of suppliers while also monitoring supplier performance and identifying any potential delays. Strong communication skills with both external and internal stakeholders are essential, along with the ability to report findings and share extensive knowledge to the team to help them grow and reach their potential.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related field (or experience equivalent to);
  • Experience in managing the entire procurement life cycle activities;
  • Experience across all Procurement functions;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Drive continuous improvement of cost and supply base performance;
  • High level ability to collate and write requirements documents;
  • Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
