Safety & Accreditation Manager

As the
Safety & Accreditation Manager,
you'll be at the forefront of shaping and delivering cutting-edge safety management policies and procedures across the department's transport services. This pivotal role champions a strong 'safety first' culture across schools, the department, and their contracted fleet ensuring every student's journey is safe, compliant, and future-ready.
You'll lead assurance and auditing activities, oversee risk assessments, and manage accreditation processes with precision and purpose. With a sharp focus on national and state regulations, you'll work closely with key stakeholders to ensure our transport operations meet the highest standards.
This is more than a compliance role—it's a leadership opportunity to influence how safety is lived, breathed, and embedded across the entire transport ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience in managing significant resources and inspiring high-performing teams to achieve outcomes in complex environments. You will demonstrate extensive expertise in safety management systems, including the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and risk assessments, alongside experience in delivering effective training programs. A deep commitment to work health and safety and fostering an inclusive, compliant workplace is essential, with thorough knowledge of Equal Opportunity and WHS legislation. A strong understanding of NHVR regulations and the transport industry is highly desirable.
