Food Safety

We currently have an opportunity for a Food Safety & Quality Systems Specialist (RAH Patient Kitchen). Join our Health & Education team and play a key role in driving food safety excellence, compliance, and system performance within the Royal Adelaide Hospital Patient Kitchen. Reporting to the Food Services Operations and Performance Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Maintaining and continuously improving the Food Safety Program (FSP) and HACCP-based system

• Conducting internal audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring

• Supporting digital systems including Delegate, Safe Food Pro, and associated reporting tools

• Providing training, onboarding, and competency development for kitchen staff

• Ensuring supply chain compliance, traceability, labelling accuracy, and product integrity

What You'll Bring (experience required)

• Experience in a HACCP-based or accredited food production environment

• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, standards, and auditing practices

• Experience using digital food safety or meal management systems (e.g., Delegate, Safe Food Pro)

• Understanding of supply chain processes including stock control, product traceability, and supplier compliance

• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
