Who we are looking for

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to provide high-level support to the Financial Controller across a range of corporate accounting functions. This includes the preparation of the Corporate Plan, Annual Report, internal reporting, and financial analysis of business proposals.

You will take ownership of the accounts payable and payroll functions. Additionally, you'll support the wider finance team by providing insightful financial modelling and advice that adds real value to our strategic and operational decision-making.

This is an ongoing full-time role based in Warrnambool and comes with a generous salary of $115,212 to $131,260 p.a. plus superannuation.

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

  • Manage the accounts payable and payroll functions and the development of the associated Technology One modules.
  • Provide sound financial advice and value-added services to assist managers with the performance of their business units.
  • Utilise budgeting and forecasting methodologies and tools for financial analysis, to contribute to our annual budget cycle and to inform the corporate plan.
  • Develop our budgeting/reporting system, including the provision of reports to management that assist in decision making.
  • Assist in the end of month processes and ensure timely production of associated reports.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone with

  • Associated tertiary qualifications and either CA or CPA post-graduate qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in a professional accounting role.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage different user groups to implement improvements to systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
