We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Management Accountant to join our team located in Warrnambool, Victoria. This role is ideal for a junior accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career

Responsibilities
  • Aid in the timely and accurate production of management reports including commentary for the various business units, analysis on sales, inventory, pricing and costing variations, material usage
  • Help with the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts including, but not limited to inventory and fixed assets across the Group
  • Work with existing systems to develop and improve the current reporting and analysis that is being produced
  • Assist with the completion of Operational/CapEx budget and assist the team as required
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts
  • Investigate revenue-generating / cost-saving opportunities, and CapEx initiatives, analyze potential ROI and pursue/action where appropriate
  • Monitor revenue/cost and margin targets
  • Investigate new or more effective business processes and effective and efficient utilization of technology
  • Help to develop and maintain financial policy, standards and procedures documentation
  • Help develop and maintain standard work instructions for standard tasks within the finance department
  • Conduct and monitor reviews to ensure procedures are adhered to
Skills & Experience
  • Exposure to MRP systems
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, energetic, results-driven, and goal-oriented
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to learn and proceduralize various standard tasks performed by other members of the finance team
  • Weekly reporting
  • Review and report on the monthly business activity including KPI's
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and ethical behavior always demonstrated
  • Critical issues and business risks to be communicated on time
  • Tertiary qualifications in appropriate fields e.g. Finance, Commerce, or Business
  • CPA or CA Qualified or nearly qualified
  • Current Australian Drivers' License
