Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Bank First Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Bank First was born by making a BOLD move. Now, we're on a mission to make more BOLD moves as we transform and grow.

We are proud to provide our community of educators and health-care workers with a bank that puts them first, because they put others first. We're committed to building a unique bank - one that's different, sustainable, and centered around our Members.

Join us in breaking the mold and shaping the future of banking. We're looking for innovative and creative minds ready to make a real impact.

So, what's the role?

Due to new project approval, we are seeking a new People Experience Coordinator. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for HR people advice and support, and will look after the people lifecycle from offer and onboarding through to offboarding (and everything in between). In this broad role, you will be given genuine career development opportunities with the chance to work across multiple disciplines within People and Culture as well as new projects and initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity to move into a smaller HR team where you will get exposure to so much more than just your job. The most exciting part is that you will be a member of the team working on the implementation of a new HRIS which will not only enhance your CV but give you hands on experience across multiple areas of the system.

In a typical day, you will get involved in:

  • Coordinating people lifecycle processes, maintaining HR administration and the Learning Management System.
  • Providing guidance to leaders and employees on policies and processes, triaging people matters to senior members of the P&C team.
  • Maintaining internal communications for People and Culture including our intranet site, guides, processes, forms and resources to support self-service.
  • Supporting reporting initiatives such as WGEA, minimum wage compliance and regular management reports.
  • Supporting People and Culture initiatives, projects and events such as International Women's Day, Wear It Purple and our End of Year Party.

About you

You will have experience working in People and Culture in a similar role with a process and HRIS focus, so you will have the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. You will be naturally driven with strong initiative and the ability to solve problems whilst working collaboratively with your team. As we are a highly collaborative and high performing team, you will be people focused, empathic and have a strong bias towards action. As this is a small close knit team, you will partner with the other members of the People and Culture as we all like to have fun.

You will come equipped with:

  • Experience successfully documenting people lifecycle processes using an end user experience approach.
  • Knowledge of fair work act, modern awards and employment contracts.
  • Systems savvy, with experience working in a HRIS (for example Success Factors, ELMO, Workday etc).
  • Highly organised, growth mindset and strong interest in creating compelling people experiences.
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in human resources, commerce, related discipline but this is not essential.
  • A passion for emerging technology to support people processes would be an advantage.

Why join us?

  • For-purpose, a bank committed to helping its Members and their community.
  • Impactful work that will genuinely make a difference to the lives of our Members
  • Work with values-driven leaders, who actively develop talent and support you to grow your career. In an environment that you are empowered to Be Bold. Be Different. Be Sustainable. Be YOU
  • Work-life balance and flexibility, so you can work in a way that best suits you and supports your commitments outside of work. Family friendly parental leave, and paid superannuation up to 52 weeks.
  • Hybrid working from our state-of-the-art offices to connect and collaborate, as well as focused time at home.
  • Competitive remuneration with an additional one week 'Be You' leave, 'Be Well' wellbeing benefit, #BFF Club home loan offer and free on-site parking

To apply

If you are looking for purpose and an organisation that lives their values every day, we encourage you to apply. Likewise, if you tick many but not all the boxes, we also encourage you to apply. Above all else at Bank First, we look for people with heart and learning agility.

We encourage applications from people of all ages, cultures, abilities, sexual orientation, and gender identities. We strive to provide a recruitment experience that's fair, inclusive, and accessible.
