About the role

As the Executive Head Chef at the Richmond Inn, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers. In this full-time role, you will work at our Bistro located in Richmond, NSW 2753, overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and manage the Bistro menu, ensuring it aligns with the establishment's culinary vision and customer preferences
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu execution, and inventory management
  3. Train and mentor chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  4. Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  5. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to maintain seamless service delivery
  6. Monitor and control food costs to maintain profitability.

  7. What we're looking for

  8. Experience (3+ years) as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary leadership role

  9. Proven track record of leading and managing a high-performing kitchen team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  10. Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques, flavour profiles, and presentation styles
  11. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  12. Strong budgeting and cost-control skills, with the ability to optimise food costs and maintain profitability
  13. Passion for creating innovative, high-quality dishes that showcase the best of local and seasonal produce
  14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  15. Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or a related field
