About the role

At Draper's Civil Contracting, we are seeking an enthusiastic HSEQ / Return to Work Coordinator to join our team in Geelong, VIC. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our commitment to providing a safe, healthy and productive work environment for our valued employees.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and site safety audits, implementing practical control measures to mitigate risks
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Delivering HSEQ training and inductions to employees
  • Managing and coordinating the Return-to-Work process for employees following injury or illness
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions
  • Preparing and analysing HSEQ reports and data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Fostering a positive safety culture, working with Draper's to promote HSEQ best practices across the organisation

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • Friendly and approachable nature striving for continued excellence in all aspects of HSEQ
  • Experience in a similar HSEQ or return to work coordination role in the civil construction industry an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
