An opportunity exists for a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Advisor to be responsible for providing comprehensive advice and coordinating activities related to all aspects of rehabilitation and return to work services, including end to end case management across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The role will provide advice on best practice rehabilitation and return to work strategies with a focus on improving outcomes for injured/ill workers including minimising time spend away from work, expediting recovery, decreasing social and financial impacts of injury and minimising the impact of workplace injury on work teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive and expert injury management education and consultancy services to workers, directorate leaders and executives, providing quality cost-effective injury management solutions to facilitate safe and sustainable outcomes for workers participating in rehabilitation and return to work programs.
- Perform duties of a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator as specified in the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.
- Consult with injured or ill workers, medical and allied health practitioners and other relevant stakeholders to drive early intervention measures in managing complex cases from end to end, monitoring progress and adjusting return to work plans as required to minimise the impact of injury and achieve goals.
- Liaise and negotiate with WorkCover Queensland, the Regulator, QSuper and other superannuation entities to ensure effective management of claims and cases.
