About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSEQ Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Sydney. Working within an ISO-accredited environment, you will be pivotal in driving our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) performance, while supporting continuous improvement across all operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement WHS Induction Programs; monitor compliance
- Develop and implement HSEQ policies, procedures, and record systems
- Compile and submit detailed Safety Reports
- Manage Incident Reporting and Investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and preventative actions
- Conduct Audits and Inspections aligned with ISO accreditation standards
- Develop and Deliver Weekly Toolbox Talks to site and project teams
- Participate in and lead Site Walks, identifying hazards and improvement opportunities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSEQ documentation and records
- Create and develop engaging HSEQ Workshops and training sessions
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an HSEQ role within the construction industry.
- Relevant qualifications in WHS, Environmental Science, or Quality Management.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards and their implementation.
- Strong understanding of NSW construction legislation and codes of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage site and office teams.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSEQ reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- White Card and driver's license (essential).
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar HSEQ role within an ISO-accredited company
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent record-keeping capabilities
- Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or related field (Essential)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
