About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic SMS Business and Reporting Specialist to support the effective delivery of reporting strategy and automation for the new Student Management System (SMS). This is a great opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, drive operational improvements, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the reporting work stream deliverables for the SMS implementation project
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reporting strategy
  • Reconcile and catalogue all operational and management reporting requirements
  • Deliver detailed reporting specifications, including prototype reports and dashboards
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and test reports
  • Provide documentation, training, and post-go-live support
  • Contribute to project planning, data migration, testing, and change management
Skills and Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, IT, or equivalent experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of SMS and CRM capabilities in the education sector
  • Proven experience in delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
  • Analytical mindset with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
