We operate the Sydney region cable drawn, vehicle ferries at Sackville, Webbs Creek, Wisemans Ferry, Lower Portland and Berowra Waters on behalf of Transport for NSW.

This position reports to the Ferry Operations Supervisor.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operation of vehicle ferries at one or more of the abovementioned locations
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles and passengers for the operation of the vehicle ferries
  • Always maintain safe operations
  • Maintain a level of fitness for duty
  • Ensure all mandatory qualifications are kept up to date
  • Complete mandatory company and TfNSW reporting as directed
  • Routine maintenance of vessels and equipment
  • Attend and provide updates at toolbox and operations meetings
  • Commitment to focus on customer service, safety & compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures

Achieved the following qualifications/Licences prior to commencing:

Mandatory Prerequisites, Qualifications,Experience & Skills

  • Able to pass a National Police check & Working With Children Check
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Traffic Control Work Training Card?
  • A State/Territory or AMSA approved recreational boat licence
  • Coxswain Grade 3 Near coastal (we can assist)
  • White Card

Be Prepared to undertake the following:

  • Worker on foot training
  • Ferry in chains endorsement
  • Fire Training
