About the role

As a Vehicle Estimator at City Prestige Autobody, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our full-service automotive repair facility. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and evaluating the damage to vehicles, providing detailed estimates to our clients, and liaising with insurance providers to ensure efficient claim processing. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our high standards of customer service and delivering exceptional results.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to identify all necessary repairs
  2. Generating detailed and accurate repair estimates, taking into account parts, labour, and any additional costs
  3. Communicating effectively with clients to explain the estimated costs and timelines for the repairs
  4. Liaising with insurance providers to ensure proper documentation and timely claim processing
  5. Collaborating with the repair team to ensure the successful and efficient completion of each job
  6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the estimates and repair processes
  7. Continuously staying up-to-date with industry regulations, policies, and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Vehicle Estimator or in a similar role within the automotive industry
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience specifically as a Vehicle Estimator is required for this position
  3. Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and the latest industry standards and guidelines
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to accurately assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair solutions
  5. Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant technologies
  6. Experience with any estimating software is required, with training provided on our specific systems
  7. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information to clients clearly and effectively
  8. Thorough understanding of insurance claims processes and requirements
  9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritise tasks effectively
  10. Australian citizenship is required for this position
