About the Role We're seeking a Laboratory Soil Technician to join our operations team in a casual capacity. You'll work in our laboratory conducting soil testing and supporting day-to-day operations. While the role begins casual, there is strong potential to transition into a permanent position in 2026 for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity if you're keen to get hands-on technical experience, enjoy structured lab-based work (no field assignments), and want a pathway to grow your career with a stable and reputable organisation.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily soil testing procedures in line with industry standards
- Prepare clear and accurate client test reports
- Assist in equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance
- Liaise with clients when required and contribute to smooth lab operations
About You
- Knowledge of soil testing methods and standards (or willingness to learn)
- Strong organisational skills and a problem-solving mindset
- A focus on safety protocols and quality standards
- Certificate III in Laboratory Skills (or equivalent) highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
