About the Role

is looking for a motivated and skilled Functional Consultant to join our dynamic consulting team in Australia

Focusing on our HomebuilderONE solution, the Functional Consultant will collaborate with clients to deliver a state-of-the-art residential construction Projects, Sales, Operations and Finance solution. You will excel at delivering high quality service and cutting-edge solutions using your finance and project accounting expertise to solution, configure, train, and implement the end to end solution.

This individual will focus on guiding and assisting clients through all phases of project implementations acting as a solution expert, learning the residential construction industry in depth. Our Consultant's day is dynamic working across various business stakeholders to define client's business requirements, designs and configures the system solution for D365 Finance & Operations, Homebuilder modules and the entire Microsoft Business cloud suite including AI, Power platform, and assists with system validation, go-live preparation, and support.

Main Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to provide cost effective solutions that solve business issues using in-depth knowledge of core finance and HomebuilderONE application as well as residential construction industry best practice expertise.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to develop, test, and implement Microsoft D365 and HomebuilderONE solutions.
• Identify and apply creative and innovative approaches to resolving product implementation and integration obstacles.
• Analyze current systems and data to identify new requirements, recognizing the need for systems enhancements or modifications when necessary.
• Document business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.
• Collaborate, manage, and lead meetings with other HomebuilderONE functional/technical consultants and client/end-users.
• Facilitate the customer's decision-making process and develop the functional design document that will drive the development process.
• Conduct user acceptance testing and train customer resources.
• Liaise with product vendors on any issues relevant to our customers or the company's services.
• Manage full-cycle management coordination of a project and the successful completion of the project within a stipulated budget.
• Ensure all technical aspects of projects meet required standards for functionality, operability, and documentation.

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong background in ERP software implementations including project accounting, sales, procurement, workflow, and reporting.
• Willingness to learn the construction industry, preferably having worked in the residential sector with an understanding of the full end-to-end home building process - Similar or related industries or roles such as estimating, and project costing are well regarded.
• Proven experience implementing modern SaaS ERP systems is strongly preferred (Microsoft D365 F&O, NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica, Technology One, Sage Intacct or similar) or experience in existing industry solutions such as Databuild, Cheops, Jobpac, Vista, Coins, Business Craft or similar industry products.
• Strong business acumen, strategic and analytical thinking capabilities, root cause analysis, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information gathering during problem analysis and coping with rapidly changing information.
• Successfully manage multiple deadlines, prioritizing as appropriate and providing timely status updates on open projects.
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding client requirements and expectations.
