The role:
We're launching a brand-new Salesforce practice — and we're looking for a Lead Salesforce Functional Consultant to help us bring it to life based in Melbourne. This isn't just another consulting role; it's a rare chance to be a foundational member who helps define, grow, and inspire the way we deliver Salesforce solutions for our clients. In this role, you'll be at the centre of digital transformation — translating complex business needs into scalable solutions, guiding clients through their Salesforce journey, and setting the standard for our practice.
What you'll do:
• Own the full delivery lifecycle from planning, design, and development through to testing, training, deployment, and handover.
• Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and user interviews that uncover real business needs.
• Conduct business analysis, develop technical designs, estimate delivery, and document processes and solutions.
• Oversee project planning, sprint management, and backlog prioritisation.
• Partner with technical teams on solution planning and deployment, while building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Guide junior consultants and share knowledge to build team capability.
• Maintain documentation, training resources, and release communications, and support post-deployment activities.
• Analyse current-state ("as-is") and define future-state ("to-be") processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation within Salesforce.
• Shape presales success – work with sales and technical teams to craft compelling Salesforce solutions, lead scope definition, and deliver engaging demos.
What You'll Bring:
• Proven experience as a Senior Salesforce Functional Consultant, delivering large-scale solutions.
• At least two full lifecycle implementations as the solution lead.
• Strong presales experience, with the ability to influence and shape customer solutions.
• Deep expertise in core Salesforce functionality: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud
• Experience in one or more of the below Salesforce Clouds beneficial: Energy & Utilities Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Field Service Cloud, Data Cloud, OmniStudio
• Expertise in declarative configuration (Flows, validation rules, etc.) and Salesforce automation.
• A strong grasp of the Salesforce data model, security, workflows, and Lightning.
• Experience with multi-cloud or Centre of Excellence (CoE) environments.
• Salesforce certifications across relevant clouds (or commitment to upskill as required).
