I am working with a library network, covering various areas of Queensland, to hire a Library Assistant at the AO2 level for 3 x evening shifts per week (5pm to 8pm.  Mon, Wed, Thurs evenings) at their South Bank campus.

This contract will initially be from 8 October to 11 December There is a possibility of extension.

In this role, be responsible for:

  • Face to face customer service enquiries
  • Online customer service enquiries
  • Issuing and returning books
  • Assisting students with access to the organisation's library, equipment (eg printer) and systems

Candidates looking to apply for this position should: 

  • Enjoy working in a customer-facing position
  • Be available to work evening shifts from 5-8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week
  • Have strong administrative skills
  • Have the ability to assist with basic IT troubleshooting
  • Have an understanding of different library procedures and policies
  • Have experience working in a library environment
