About the Role

We are seeking a hand-on Operations Program Manager who will oversee and direct an organisational wide program of projects, including the planning, execution, and delivery from initiation to completion, cross-functionally.

Working with the responsible leader, the Operations Program Manager is accountable for ensuring that project planning and execution within the program portfolio achieves strategic objectives. This role involves a broad scope of responsibilities, including strategic planning, resource allocation, budget and risk management, and stakeholder communication.

This is not your average program management role In this role, you will have an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and dive into a variety of operational projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and program direction: Formulate program strategies and project plans outlining stages, timelines, resources and budget. Partner with key stakeholders to drive strategic project direction and mitigate risks.

• Project execution: Working with and across stakeholders, coordinate and drive end-to-end project delivery using project management frameworks and tools. You will carefully manage project timelines and keep stakeholders abreast of progress, potential delays and risks.

• Stakeholder Management: Manage project expectations both internally and externally, whilst connecting the dots to build and maintain strong relationships.

• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, flagging risks and taking corrective action to ensure each project stays within financial constraints.

• Performance Monitoring, Quality Control & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed and regular reporting tools, tracking and analysing project data and KPIs to be able to report on success, progress and improvement areas.

• Project Closure: Coordinate approvals and prepare final documentation at project close, including post-project evaluations and improvement recommendations.

Skills & Experience Required

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field.

• 5 years of project management experience, with demonstrated experience managing medium to large-scale operational projects and managing stakeholders at all levels.

• Certified PMP or equivalent.

• Strong leadership and time / project management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities through transformational change.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation/influencing skills.

• Proficient in excel and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Jira, Asana).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Experience with budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
